The benefits of your donation fall into two distinct categories:
- The funds actually going to Operation Fallen Hero.
- The tax deduction available to the donor.
Compared to most other charities, Giving Heart of America handles your donated vehicle in a manner intended to maximize both of these benefits.
While most charities do not commit management attention to maximizing the benefits of your donation, doing so is an integral part of our operation.
While most charities still utilize wholesale auto auctions almost exclusively, Giving Heart of America's Managed Donation Program utilizes a network of retail dealers who have agreed to sell our donated vehicles directly to the public at retail prices. That sale price then becomes the limit of your tax deduction (see Current Tax Law) and it can be more than what you would have previously claimed as a fair market value. The proceeds to charitable work are proportionately increased as well.

Bottom Line: Your donation is still worth a great deal, perhaps even more than before, but, it is important to choose the charity for your donation carefully.
