OUR GUARANTEE TO YOU
As you may be aware, Giving Heat of America has developed a Managed Donation Program to ensure that we can sell your donated vehicle for a higher price than would be possible through an auction. That results in more money being available for Operation Fallen Hero and larger tax deductions for our donors under the Current Tax Law, HR 4552.
Of course, not every vehicle qualifies for our Managed Donation Program. Some vehicles have simply reached the end of their useful lives. (See Estimating Value.) Others could be repaired and sold, but the potential sale price simply can't justify the investment required. In such cases, we have no choice but to use a wholesale auction or a salvage auction like other charities. About 40% of our donations fall into this category.
For donations qualifying for our Managed Donation Program we are prepared to offer the following GUARANTEE. If, within 60 days of the date we sell your donated car and provide you evidence of the actual sales price, you can demonstrate to us a credible reason why your vehicle would have sold for more through another non-profit organization, we will donate $1,000 to a charity of your choice.
